Selection Process for SEBI Officer Grade A

The recruitment process is highly competitive and consists of three stages:

Phase I: Online Screening Exam

  • Date: January 10, 2026
  • Pattern: Two papers with a negative marking of 1/4th for incorrect answers
Paper 1 (All Streams): 100 marks, 60 minutes
  • Topics: General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning
  • Cut-off: 30%
Paper 2 (Stream-Specific): 100 marks, 40 minutes
  • Topics: Subject-specific MCQs (e.g., Commerce, Law, IT)
  • Cut-off: 40%

Requirement: Clear both individual paper cut-offs and an aggregate of 40% to qualify for Phase II.

Phase II: Online Examination

  • Date: February 21, 2026
  • Pattern: Two papers
Paper 1 (All Streams): 100 marks, 60 minutes
  • Descriptive English test assessing writing skills, drafting, precis, and comprehension
  • Cut-off: 30%
Paper 2 (Stream-Specific): 100 marks
