NICL AO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility

Qualification date: The required qualification must be completed by 01 October 2026, with a valid marksheet/degree certificate or the accepted proof described in the notice. Qualifications must be from recognized universities/institutes as specified by NICL.

Minimum marks are generally 60%, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, subject to each discipline's exact notification wording. Fractional percentages are ignored.

Age

As on 01 October 2026: minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years. Eligible dates of birth are 02 October 1996 through 01 October 2005, inclusive.

Age relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC Non-Creamy Layer: 3 years
• PwBD General/EWS: 10 years
• PwBD SC/ST: 15 years
• PwBD OBC: 13 years
• Eligible Ex-Servicemen/commissioned officers: 5 years
• Defence service personnel disabled in operations and released as a consequence: 3 years
• Confirmed employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies, including GIC and Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd.: 8 years

The notification defines categories a–e as visual impairment, hearing impairment, specified locomotor disabilities, autism/intellectual disability/specific learning disability/mental illness, and multiple disabilities, including deaf-blindness.
